Meinhardt Group has adopted the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) to drive its operations to carbon zero across all of its offices worldwide.
This goal is being implemented in steps, starting with a 35 per cent reduction of Meinhardt’s baseline GHG (greenhouse gas) value by end of 2024.
In line with our approved implementation paper, all Meinhardt offices will be carbon neutral by 2030 and carbon zero by 2050 or earlier.
Mr Brendan Smith, Chair of Meinhardt’s Global Carbon Zero Committee commented: “As a global multi-disciplinary professional services firm, we have a leading role to play in mitigating the potentially devastating impact of climate change. In addition to our own operations, there is an opportunity for our industry to make a significant contribution to this effort from the selection of materials to the evolution of smart building solutions to greatly reduce our clients’ own carbon footprint.
