Meinhardt played a critical role in meeting DEWA’s strategy to enhance the efficiency and reliability of water networks to meet the increasing growth of demand and water flow in Dubai

The existing Lusaily Reservoir lies 40km south of the city centre of Dubai. DEWA plans to build a larger Lusaily Reservoir adjacent to the plot. The project consists of two rectangular tanks partially buried, each with a capacity of 60 MIG or 273,000 m3. The new reservoir will have a control room to house the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) which will be integrated to DEWA’s master control centre.

Meinhardt is providing design consultancy for the reservoir and water network including electrical and instrumentation requirements. The team will also assist in contract specification, construction supervision, water quality testing, commissioning of the SCADA system, operator training and post-completion monitoring.
