India’s relationship with ASEAN and Oceanic countries is a key pillar of India’s foreign diplomacy and the foundation of India’s Act East Policy. Economic cooperation between the ASEAN and Oceanic countries have been witnessing a dramatic increase over the years. The ASEAN region is viewed as a gateway to India’s Northeast and is critical to India’s economic development.
Meinhardt Group CEO, Omar Shahzad was invited to be a panellist on two sessions: CEOs Roundtable on “Trade and Investment Opportunities in Current Times” and “India-Singapore: The Next Chapter of Economic Partnership”.
He was honoured to share his views with other respected business and government leaders on smart cities and infrastructure, post COVID-19 implications on engineering and planning and how Indian and Singaporean companies can tap on opportunities in both countries to offer expertise across various sectors.
Meinhardt has had an active and dedicated presence in India for over 20 years in India and has delivered key projects such as the Statue of Unity in Gujarat. The trilateral business summit & expo was a first of its kind involving prominent countries from ASEAN and the Oceanic region and had strong participation from Government leaders, Enterprises and Business Chambers.
