Meinhardt provided a full range of services that encompassed the detailed concept design for Vijayawada Airport’s new passenger terminal. The terminal is poised to cater towards growing passenger demand of up to 7.5 million passengers from 2025-26.

The project comprises of a full-fledged terminal and lounge to accommodate domestic, international flights. The new terminal building has two approach roads that provide access to all incoming passengers and another strictly for VIPs. It also has a parking area with a bus bay that can accommodate 10 buses and, 563 parking lots for motor vehicles.

The terminal was developed over a gross floor area of 13,000 sqm to be sustainable and intelligent as per GRIHA-3 star rating requirements. The terminal is also packed with comprehensive facilities encompassing various functions such as retail and leisure to provide a creative travel experience for passengers.
