The project comprises a central train station and platform, a multi-storey retail and office block and an elevated road system. The station, described as a unique transportation hub and the first of its kind in the world, does not only incorporate an integrated network of rail transportation but also provides seamless air transfer services from its City Air Terminal to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang, as well as surface transportation.  Three rail services namely KTM Komuter, KTM Intercity and PutraLRT have already started using the station from April 2001.
