A towering symbol of unity in India, able to withstand winds of up to 220 kilometres per hour and a new record as the tallest statue in the world - introducing the Statue of Unity in the state of Gujarat, India.
Made up of 200,000 M 3 of concrete, nearly 1,900 tonnes of bronze cladding and about 6,000 façade panels where no two panels are alike, this engineering marvel was inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31 October 2018.
